Goldilocks and the three horrid bears
This week for our writing task during lockdown, we had to write a narrative with a kids story and change it up, e.g different endings or twists. For mine, I chose Goldilocks and the three bears.
I really enjoyed this task because I used to love this kid's story as a little kid and now I got to re-write it as one of the ways I imagined it might have turned out or could have turned out.
Maybe next time I could try adding more similies or metaphors to make it sound a bit more interesting or descriptive.
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Goldilocks, she had had green emerald eyes that shimmered with hope, she wore a bright yellow dress with a baby blue apron, and as you can guess by her name, she had shiny golden locks.
One day while Goldilocks was out picking berries, she saw a big ominous berry laying there in the bush, “I wonder what kind of berry that is” she thought to herself before picking it up, lifting it to her mouth and gobbling it all up.
Not long after Goldilocks began to feel very dizzy, “I need to lay down somewhere, out of the sun” she said to herself, she looked up and saw a nearby cabin and began walking toward it.
When she got to the cabin she knocked three times, no answer, again, she knocked three times, only this time the door had opened itself, and let her in. Goldilocks then came inside and saw three seats set to the table with three bowls of mushroom soup to each.
The gold-headed gal walked herself over and took a sip of the first bowl, “Ow it burnt my tongue!” she shouted, it appears the first bowl was too hot for her, she walked herself over to the second bowl, she took a sip from there, “although it helped cool my tongue down, it is awfully too cold” she said again. Finally, she made her way to the third bowl, she took a sip from that bowl and to her surprise, it was just right!
She sat at the table on the chair that was set for the bowl and ate the soup, when she had finished she had seemed less dizzy, although she was still dizzy enough to have knocked the plate off the table, “oh no” she thought to herself, although it did not worry her too much because the cabin had seemed abandoned, but how did that explain the warm soup?
“I’ll clean it up later,” she said, she then walked over to what seemed to be the beds, there were three beds, two enormous ones that barely looked like they belonged in that cabin, and one more that had seemed too small to even be a bed, she hopped on the first big bed, “why is this bed so hard,” she thought, she hopped up and went to the next bed, this one had suited her the most, she laid down and drifted off to sleep.
Little did she know there were three bears not far away that lived in that cabin, a mama bear, a daddy bear, and a baby bear, when they got to the cabin they had seen that the door was open, “Mama bear, did you leave the door open?” papa bear asked, mama bear shook her head no, papa bear began getting suspicious.
The three bears walked inside not noticing the blondie sleeping in their beds, baby bear stood forward and grabbed the plate Goldilocks had eaten from that was now shattered on the floor, “someone broke my plate!” said baby bear, they then turned their heads to the snoring Goldilocks, “an intruder” said mama bear.
Papa bear then walked over to her and picked her up roughly, the shock woke Goldilocks and she began screaming, papa bear threw her outside making her roll and hit a rock, “ you intrude on my home, you eat my son’s dinner, you break his bowl, and then you sleep in my wife’s bed!? Scram you human!” yelled papa bear before slamming the door.
Goldilocks got up and ran back home, she was deeply afraid of bears and didn’t waste one second to look back.
Could the bears have been nicer? Could they have had a welcoming spirit and tried to see her reason? I guess not because they were known to be the most horrid bears around, there was a lot more they could've done to her.

Agriculture day (Ag day) poems
For ag day we had to write some poems about animals using different types of poems to be judged for ag day.
I really enjoyed this task because I enjoy writing poems, especially if it's about something I like and in these poems, the animals I chose are some of my favorite animals.
Maybe next time I could try to make it a bit more detailed, out of all the poems I've written, these ones are ones with not much detail.
Jackiwa poem
Octopus
Slippery, slimy.
Hiding in rocks.
Where did it go?
A truly delicious treat.
My stomach filled
Satisfied, full.

Mens Street skating Olympics
This week we had to create a slide about a certain sport in the Olympics and a few facts about it.
I really enjoyed doing this task because I got to watch a video of the competitors competing in the sport and it got me so interested

Respect
Today we had to create a google draw or google slide (I chose google draw) about our PB4L focus of the week which is respect.
I wish I could have put more detail and effort into this but I rushed it. Maybe next time that is something I could do.

My Collage
This week for an art project, my class and I had to create a collage using an animal as inspiration, for my collage I did a fox.
For the task, I had to rip up small pieces of colored magazines and glue them to a piece of paper to color in a trace/drawing we did of an animal.
I really enjoyed this task because I got to draw and try and recreate a picture I saw of a fox.

Water Pollution and flooding
This week for reading we had to make a DLO (digital learning object) about Water pollution and flooding using the information and facts we read in articles by the NRC (North Regional Council).
I really enjoyed this task because in one of these articles it explained what waterways meant to the Maori, I also enjoyed it because I learned a lot of things from these artcles, e.g I learned that fish and plants need water to be between 6.5 and 9 pH.

The Moa
This week in room 4, our teacher gave us the task of making a DLO (digital learning object) about moa extinction articles.
I really enjoyed this task because I like learning about things from the past, especially animals, all the facts and stories in the articles were very interesting.
Maybe next time I could try and understand them more, some facts in the articles I didn't understand.
Costume Drama
This week we were working on a DLO for a story that we read called "costume drama", then we had to post it to our blogs.
I really enjoyed this task because I got to re-create some of the pictured scenes I saw in my head by the descriptive words in the story.

Cinquain poem
I liked writing this poem because I love my sister, even though she is a big pain to me I love her, and writing this was really nice.
Sisters
Snitch, cool
Loving, tease, annoying
Amazing but irritating
Sisters
Five sense poem
I really enjoyed this task because boba is one of my favorite things, and I could write what they are to me.
Boba is a sweet sensation.
It tastes like slurping a slushy on a hot day.
It smells like a delicate flower field.
It looks like little bubbles floating.
It feels like a happy mood.

Three little kittens
Once upon a time, there was an old mother cat and three little kittens. “Be careful of the old man in the old shack, if ever needed, run back here to me” said the mother cat as she sent her kittens out to make homes of their own.
The first little kitten carved her house in a blackberry bush far from the old man’s home. “The thorns of this bush will protect me,” thought the little kitten, little did she know that was the old man’s favorite berry bush. A few hours passed and the little kitten was driven out of her home by the barks of the old man's dog.
The second little kitten built their home out of hay that laid outside the old man’s house, and used it to build their house, little did he know the old man was using that to burn a fire, with the old man seeing that it had already set itself in the position he lit it bright. The kitten barely managed to make it out and ran all the way home.
The third little kitten built its house inside a hole that was surrounded by hogs. “Sure enough that old man won’t bother me here,” little did he know, the old man hunted the hogs in that place very often, therefore he was driven out, nearly being shot, and ran all the way home.
Mother cat kept her little kittens promising not to let them go until they are older, while the old man enjoyed his dinner of pork and berries.

Adrenaline adventure park
Last week on Friday rooms 3, 4, and 5 went to a waterpark called adrenaline adventure park.
I really enjoyed this school trip because there were lots of obstacles and places to bomb off, my personal favorite would have to be a big slide that was on the far left side of the park, I really wish we could've stayed longer.
Although I went on a lot of the obstacles I wish I had gone on one that was at the far right side of the park which looked super fun but I was too afraid to, I'll definitely try it next time.
Here are some photos of the water park.
To the waterpark
WALT: Write a narrative story based off of our school trip to the Adrenaline adventure waterpark. This week for writing our teacher (Miss Cutler) gave us a task to write a narrative story based off of a school trip we had on Friday last week.
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia, Julia, her class, and 2 other classes went on a school trip to a waterpark.
On the morning of that day, everyone came to school with their stuff ready, Julia had brought one of her anime pillows (she's a big anime fan/weeb) and everyone began wanting it, when the time for them to go came, everyone got on the bus and began singing to the music playing on the bus.
Everything was fine until they got to the park, Julia could smell something fishy, literally but the park supervisors said that there was absolutely nothing to worry about.
All the kids lined up in rows of 10 to get their life-jackets while the lifeguards spoke about some rules.
After a while, Julia began to lose her suspense until a huge amount of bubbles started showing next to her.
“GET OUT!” yelled one of the lifeguards from the shore, suddenly everyone flew out of the water like birds fleeing from predators.
Julia’s legs were tangled in the oxygen plants that seemed to be pulling her under, as she tried to escape, a big fish with razor-sharp teeth and scales rose from the water and swallowed up Julia.
Years later she re-appeared in her hometown and told everyone a petrifying story of what had happened…

If I were poem
For this writing task, we had to write an if I were poem and I wrote mine about my favorite anime, My Hero Academia.
I (personally) really enjoyed this task because I like writing poems about certain things, like anime.
If I were powerful, I’d pass All Might.
If I were a Scientist, I’d make my dreams come true.
